Roe deer are normally solitary animals. However, during the winter they form small family groups. I love the soft winter colours of the trees and fields.

Each year, Roe bucks lose their old antlers and grow a new set. As they grow, they are covered in velvet.

Around May each year, Muntjac bucks cast last year's antlers and immediately start to grow their next set. The regrowth is normally complete by late summer. This buck is in the early stages of regrowth.
